From Arch to Arc: Introducing the 2009 Leading for Life Challenge
At the beginning of July, Sara Schumacher and Zi-Su Kim, both Innovista International team members, will be riding from London to Paris in 4 days to raise £6,000 for the Leading for Life scholarship and conference fund.
Leading for Life is an annual gathering for young Christian leaders from different parts of Europe and Central Asia. They are gifted, motivated and passionate about reaching their generation—at school, university, in the workplace and local community with the Christian message. Created especially for Christians in their 20s/30s, Leading for Life promises to deliver inspiration, high-quality training, one-on-one coaching, interactive workshops and a place to connect with other young people from different parts of Europe.
Both Sara and Zi-Su have been involved in running Leading for Life and have seen first hand how young leaders who come to this gathering are inspired, energised and encouraged by the high quality teaching, small group discussions and new friendships. That is why they are taking part in the 2009 Leading for Life Challenge to raise money for helping six young leaders from Albania, Romania and Central Asia to attend the gathering and for the production of post-conference resources.
But they can not complete this challenge by themselves. They need your support at every point along the way from Marble Arch to l’Arc de Triomphe. Here is how you can participate in the 2009 Leading for Life Challenge too:
(1) Become a sponsor – your generous gift in pounds, euros or dollars will enable young Christian leaders from Albania, Romania and Kyrgyzstan to attend the Leading for Life 2009 gathering. To become a sponsor, click here.
(2) Join the journey and stay in touch – check out the blog on the left to find out how their training is going. You can also stay in touch by following the video blog that will document each day of the trip.
(3) Pray for them – pray that God will give them strength and stamina and for their protection during the training and the bike ride from London to Paris.
